Our carefully structured breeding program, now almost 10 years old, has allowed us to develop a herd of high quality alpacas with correct conformation, excellent fleece and easygoing temperament. Service sires are carefully selected to complement the characteristics of each female, and to insure that each generation improves upon the last.

All of our breeding stock are ARI registered, guaranteed reproductively sound, and come with up to 3 months free board. All pregnancies are confirmed by ultrasound exam (the image is provided as part of the alpaca’s medical record) and pregnant females sold with our no-questions-asked 30 day live birth guarantee. A free breed-back to any Staghorn Valley stud is also provided with all pregnant females.

We take extra effort to make sure that new breeders succeed with extensive education and mentoring, as well as unlimited and unending support. Starter packages are designed to allow your new herd to grow and gain value as quickly as possible. Combinations can be created from any of our available alpacas and attractive discounts are provided, and grow as the packages are structured to include different alpaca selections. In addition, we offer some of the most attractive farm-based opportunities programs available.

Many factors contribute to the value of a breeding quality alpaca, including pedigree, show record, offspring, and breeding stud, among others. Here at Staghorn Valley our philosophy has been to assign what we believe to be a fair price to each of our alpacas, one that reflects its breeding, mating, and a reasonable return for us. The prices listed are intended to achieve a balance between value and a recognition of the significant investment starting a herd may represent to the first time buyer.
